πŸ‰ HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR πŸ‰

It's about to be the Year of the Dragon, per the Chinese Zodiac, and we are ready as ever, especially since we're BOTH dragons! Trizzy will be celebrating this incredibly important cultural holiday with family, while Leah will be celebrating in and around Los Angeles. The Chinese dragon is considered a celestial and divine creature, so we are looking forward to having an incredible year and taking y'all along for the ride!

We've partnered with Rhino the past few months to curate 3 thoughtful episodes that speak to anyone working towards total inclusion and representation in travel (hopefully all of us!), which is exactly what Rhino represents.

Our latest episode above "81: Unexpected Travel Moments That Altered Our Brain Chemistry", is an extension of Rhino's current campaign on #TravelTruths, detailing "Travel isn’t one-size-fits-all and each experience is unique and carries its own set of joys and challenges. That's why we choose to highlight all types of truth in travel." In episode 81, Leah & Trizzy talk about and relive specific travel moments - however tiny, good, or bad - and how they make an impact on our lives and give us pause while on the road.

Check out our previous episodes with Rhino:

77: Traveling as a Lesbian Couple

73: Celebrating Filipino-American Culture in the USA

46: Traveling as Asian-Amerian and LGBTQ+ Women

Rhino is the ultimate travel app for global discovery by community, and is available to download in your phone’s App Store.

Winter Warm-up

We hosted our first IRL meetup of 2024, this time trying a different neighborhood: Hawthorne, CA! Yes, we were right next to SpaceX and we even got to use their parking lot. This sweet local brewery, Common Space, had several beers on tap and a pizza food truck outside.

Topics we talked about: Alaska Airlines partnerships, the new TravelCon, quitting your job to travel once and for all, and dating while abroad.

Where in LA (or the world!) should we host our next meetup? Hit REPLY to this email to send us some ideas!
